Topic: 98 Startup Menu... GO AWAY!!!

Hi all, how you all doing? Its been a while I guess.

Windows 98 SE
On power on, the STARTUP MENU is displayed EVERYTIME.
There is no error message.

The cursor is set on "START WINDOWS NORMALLY", which I thought was rather strange, it would usually highlight "SAFE MODE".

HELP!

Not sure if this is the same with 98, but with XP, if you go into Start > Run > MSCONFIG, you can alter the boot settings.  Don't know if that will help, Ket, but I didn't like you to think you were being ignored!

I'll give it a try, any other ideas in the mean time would be good!

Well,

MSCONFIG > it was set on "DIAGNOSTIC STARTUP", with "Enable START MENU".

Why oh why was that selected?

Strange.
