Being as I have had trouble linking quite a few pics to other places I've discovered that MSN can host pics for you.

Just set up your own group and then you can put whatever pics you want on there and link to them very easily, although the url does tend to be quite long.
You have to make the group public, but as administrator of the group you just refuse to let anyone join
