Topic: Clock in Windows XP

All,

I am originally from the Netherlands (Central European Time). Now I have moved to the UK (Greenwich Mean Time) so I set the clock in Windows XP back one hour. I also set all the regional and language options to UK and English. Still my clock keeps jumping back to Dutch time after a while.

Any idea what causes this and how it can be solved?

Hi JG,

Right click your clock and select Adjust Date / Time, then from that screen, select the Time Zone tab, and change it to (GMT) Greenwich Mean Time.  That should do it, but if not, please come back to us.

It sounds like the automatic time synchronising is still linking to a server on the Dutch time zone  
Maybe if you check the settings or even disable the synchronise setting temporarily to see if that stops it resetting itself.

I first tried the tip in the first response (Simon). That probably solved it. I'll wait a few days to see if it stays OK.
