Hello everybody at PC-Pals,
I have some questions concerning my pc, Compaq Presario 2710, I hope some of you can help me, the people at the Compaq helpdesk certainly CANNOT or simply do not want to. I have a problem with the cooling system (don't know the exact tech.term) of my laptop, switching on all the time, and making a very, very annoying sound. In a typical situation, this cooling system switches on when I'm using for example a Word file larger than 6 pages, a Excel file larger then 1 (one) page, when I open a document via Acrobat reader, when opening Flash-websites etc. Any actions that 'demands' something from the pc makes the cooling system go nuts. The problem is that there is only one way to stop the noise: turn off the machine completely en start all over again. Does anybody have an idea what is going on, can I expect that a 2200 dollar pc is able to open a Word document SILENTLY. (The cooling systems switches on also after 20 minutes without any actions, not possible to calm it down even then). What is the problem? Memory? Virus? Broken cooling system?
Thanx for any suggestions!
Albert
