Strange Keyboard Problem
« on: March 14, 2004, 20:13 »
My Boss's Son has asked me to check out a keyboard problem.  I wasn't sure where to put this, but I guess it will be a Windows issue so I've stuck it in here.  What happens is, when he presses, i.e. the 'R', or the 'D' key, the relevent keyboard shortcut launches, without the usual addition of the Ctrl or Alt keys.  So when he's typing, if he presses an 'R', the Run box pops up, or if he presses 'D' the page minimises.  Ever so slightly irritating, I would think.  :o  At first, I thought maybe his Ctrl or Alt keys were stuck down, but apparently this is not the case.  Any other ideas?

Ha bloody ha!  No I haven't been round to fix it.  What would you recommend Sean, a spoon handle?  ;D ;D

But seriously, what should I suggest?  Try another keyboard?  There's not some strange Windows Accessability setting which might do this?   :-\

As long as it is wooden Si, you wouldn't want to electrocute yourself, would you?

If it still does it with a different keyboard, it has to be a software problem. But my money is on a dodgy Windows key ;)
