Hi themackem and :welcome:

Have you tried uninstalling it in safe mode ?
Which OS are you using ?
Most uninstalling problems are caused by the program still running when you atempt to uninstall it.
If you are on XP you can bring up the task manager and end all processes that may be using it or part of it.
Do you get any specific message when you try to uninstall it ?

You will probably find that the option isnt there in safe mode either unfortunately  :(
The normal way is to get into safe mode by repeatedly pressing F8 and then when its in safe mode going into Control Panel and then the Add/Remove as you have done in normal windows.
This would have the advantage of the program probably not running in the background allowing it to be removed.

I cant find anything specific to System Works but there is an article here about Norton 2001 :

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315336&Product=winxp

I am not sure its the same thing but if its not listed in Add/Remove it sounds as if its corrupted or partially uninstalled in some way.
Was it listed at one point and you thought that it was uninstalling and then it failed or has it never been listed in Add/Remove ?
Maybe try reinstalling it again would allow you to uninstall  ???

Ive tried re-installing,but it wont uninstall afterwards. It just remains on the add, remove list. Before i reinstalled,it didnt show at all on the add, remove list.Have i wasted my money, having a 2004 disc and being unable to use it?My norton firewall installed no problem!

Reinstall it again and if its then showing on your Add/Remove list in normal windows, try removing it in safe mode as described earlier.
That may be all that it needs, I thought that it had never showed in the list so the safe mode option wouldnt have worked but I am 99% certain that it will do it ok in safe mode  :)

Hate to possibly state the bleeding obvious, and I expect you've tried it, but is there an Uninstall in the Start > All Programs list for it?  Or how about in the actual program folder?  As Sandra said, usually, re-installing these allows you to then remove them.
Many thanks to all our members, who have made PC Pals such an outstanding success!   :thumb:

Glad you managed to sort it  :)
Did you try removing it in safe mode first or did you find that tool before you tried it ?
