I fitted one from Aldi to someones PC a few weeks back Jonah.
It was very easy and I just installed the drivers and software from the cd that came with it, connected it to my aerial and told it to scan.
It took about 2 or 3 mins and found the channels available in, my area  :)

Not much although they often have multi channel preview so you can watch up to 16 channels at once, on the one I fitted and most have a similar feature.
Also you can use them to pause live tv so you dont have to wait for the program to end before you watch it if you had to go off for 10 mins or so and you can record to your hard drive and burn to cd or dvd if you wanted  :)
