Hi Labopp and  :welcome:. Do you have adaware software programme installed as you could have a lot of spyware on your pc. Also do you defrag on a regular basis? This also can slow things down a bit.
Go here and install Adaware and check for spyware on your PC.

Hope this is of help to you.  :D

Hi Labopp,

Do you have "AIM" (American Instant Messenger) installed on your PC?

Well, if you want my advice, remove it immediately with all the programs that accompanied it on your PC and in "program files".

I got that bad experience last week and got the same nightmare. I know also a friend who got the same problem.

In fact, it adds maybe three or four other programs with it too which you must try to recognize, apart of lots of "cookies" and adds.

Attention: "Uninstall" will not remove everything automatically. You need to go to "Programs Files" and remove all the accompanied and related programs manually.

Try to pass "Add-aware" and "Spybot" after removing all of those programs and clean everything.

Good chance.   :)

we have an arabic proverb which I don't know an equivalent to it in english. I like to add it here. It's in the meaning:

"Close the window from which you get the disturbing wind".   ;)

That's what I usually say to my neighbours after I've had a Vindaloo!   ;D ;D

Back to your problem, Labopp, if Joudi's idea doesn't help, you would be advised to run Ad Aware and / or Spybot to remove any existing spyware, then install Spyware Blaster to prevent any more.  Spybot and Spyware Blaster both contain IE Home Page guards, and are free.  You can get them from the links below.  You may have to run the above programs in Safe Mode, with System Restore temporarily disabled, if you have spyware embedded deep in your system.  In fact, my advice would be to do that anyway.

 :)

Ad Aware
Spybot S&D
Spyware Blaster
