i bought some old pcs with windows 2000 on it but they are all password locked how do i get pass them and then load my windows 98 please help

Could try taking the Battery out of the Mobo for 5 mins then replaceing it ..then see what happens

When does it ask for the passwords? Can you not boot from a 98 start up disc, FDISK the drive, then boot from the W98 CD to format and install?

As Simon says, use a 98 boot disk and format the drive then reinstall 98 as usual.
You have to format it before you can install 98 unlike XP which will do it from the CD itself.
If its the BIOS thats password protected then use the clear CMOS jumper to reset it
