Hiya missy,   :welcome:

MSN being down might just be their server, but the combination of both that and NAV not opening, suggests that you may have been infected with a virus.  Have you opened any unexpected email attachments recently?   :o

Since you're evidently still able to surf ok, I'd suggest that a visit to one or more of the Anti-virus sites might result in you being able to download patches which will zap some of the latest nasties.  Let us know if you need links to those sites, would you?

Best of luck!

Hiya Rodders
wehad a load of e-mails sent that all had attatchments with viruses but norten said it had goten rid of em all and i deleated them as soon as they came, could be that one got through. I rtied uninstalling norten then reinstaling it but nuffing.
Hubby seems to think it could be a couple of programs that he installed to do with diving. What do you think? ???

What I know about Diving software you could inscribe on the head of a pin, but if the source disk was a bit dodgy then that would be the entry point - if it is a virus.

Personally speaking, I'd be inclined to wait for someone less stoopid than me to turn up and hold your hand through a diagnostic Q&A session.  I just maintain the coffee machine for the grown-ups here, Sarah.   ;D

Added:  While you're waiting, why not try an online scan of your machine by clicking here?

Hi Sarah,

I would suggest also running some spyware scans, with Ad Aware and Spybot (links below).  Make sure you get the latest updates before you run them.  If those don't rectify things first time, try running them in Safe Mode, with System Restore temporarily disabled (if you are on XP or ME).  Let us know if you need further help with that.   :)

Ad Aware
Spybot S&D

Nice one Scoob!   ;)

Now if you could just persuade everyone else whose machines are crawling, we could have an early bath.   ;D
