:-[Ever since I uninstalled Weather Bug I am still getting Weather Bug pop-ups and other pop up adds as well. How do I get rid of weather bug totally? Is the Mcafee anti-Adware any good? I have tried Ad-aware and a few others and they dont do it.

I have just found this (below) but as with all registery I would be very dubious on removing/modifying these unless you know a lot about comps.

And as they say..always back up the reg if your going to play  

Uninstall procedure
Uninstall WeatherBug from "Add/Remove Programs" in the Windows® Control Panel. If you run into problems removing WeatherBug, please contact the vendor. Do not uninstall WeatherBug if you value the service that it offers and can accept the advertisements.

If you decide to uninstall, you will be taken to the vendor's web site for a survey, asking why you uninstalled the software. During my testing the uninstaller left a few files and directories (~2 MB) behind on your system that you have to remove manually:

That doesn't look too dangerous.  I think '%ProgramsDir%' is where the application was stored, usually C:\Program Files, so if you look in there for the AWS folder, and delete that, that should help.  The registry entry is a simple 'Run' entry, i.e. it runs whenever you turn on your PC.  You can safely delete that from the registry (back up first, just in case), or look in your start up folder (C:\Documents and Settings\[yourname]\Start Menu\Programs\Startup) and see if it's in there, where you can also delete it, but it may come back if it's still in the Registry.

Alternatively you could go to Start > Run > msconfig, select the Startup tab and untick the entry for AWS.

Thanks Simon. I found the AWS folder, it was empty but I deleted it anyway, not sure if that will take care of the Weather Bug Prob or not

If it was empty, then it's probably the run command in the registry, which needs deleting.  It's not difficult, just take care.
