Is it a removable flash memory card inside your Jump Drive or is it inbuilt ?
Which OS are you using.
Theres something in their FAQs about their memory stick that has problems if you format it in windows and not in the device itself, maybe this is your problem if its a removable card  ???

Quote
Problem: I formatted my 128mb Memory Stick under Windows 98/ME/2000 and now it doesnąt work in my camera.

Cause:    There is an incompatibility between the Windows file structure system and the file structure system on the camera.

Solution: You must format the Memory Stick in the camera instead of using the computer.  If you format it on the computer, it will not harm the card it will just have to be reformatted in the camera.   Please be aware that any reformatting will erase any pictures or other information you have stored on the card.

Hi Sandra

i use XP as shown in my profile.

i hear what you say, but as this is a MP3 player and not camera, would it still apply?

When I checked my post, I see I have had 3 views but no replies yet when I looked, I see your reply. Also, I did not receive e-mail to tell me, any comment as Admin.

Back to Jumpdrive, if its true, you woulf think there would be a warning.

Last of all, as I could not resolve problem, I got in touch with Lexar and I am sending it back for replacement but I will still listen to advice BEFORE I use new one.

When you start a thread, or reply to an existing thread, if you want e-mail notifications of further posts in that thread, you have to tick the box underneath the text box, where it says "Notify of Replies".  If that doesn't work, then there's a problem with your e-mail address, for some reason, possibly a spam filter?

When you see that your post has had x amount of views, that's just the number of people who have read it, not the number of replies.

Hope that helps.   :)

It doesnt show which OS you are using in your profile, maybe its a feature that we could add as it would save having to ask, although some people may run dual boot with various OSs and may not be enquiring about a problem on their own or main PC  :)

It depends more on whether its a removeable card or built in memory.
A file is a file is a file as far as a pc knows then its just a different type of file.
As you know you can save any type of file to a card be it .jpg .mp3 or .txt etc it just depends on the device that the card is then inserted into as which files its able to read or write to  :)

Re your notification e-mail not being received, I have received one returned to admin, so there must be a problem with your mail account or as Simon said its being blocked as spam  :(

Hi Sandra

Firstly, my Jumpdrive "I believe" came "bundled" so no card was needed, dont know if that helps.

If you look at my post above,on the bottom of page, I have printed what my pc specification is.

Perhaps I printed it in the signature section of my profile? if I did, hope that is ok for as you say, it helps the people who are trying to help.

BTW, a short while ago, I was able to log in and read the pots but when I tried to reply, I was being told I had not logged in or a wrong password but I tried a few times.

I like the look of the site BTW

It probably is a built in one, I just thought that with it being primarily an MP3 player then it may have been one that took cards and wasnt limited to just what was inbuilt.
Hopefully if Lexar couldnt help then it may just be a faulty one and the new one will work fine  :)

Yes you have put it in the signature part, sorry I hadnt noticed  :(

I cant think why it should have rejected your login details and then later accepted them, maybe Adept will be able to see something  later, not sure if it will log that or not for him to check up on .
Puzzlingly it hasnt returned the e-mail notification to my last post, I assume that you havent turned the facilty off  ???

Gudda, I've just e-mailed you, so if you get it, we'll know your e-mail address is correct, and it must be a spam filter, or something.

Sandra/Simon

A belated message to say that I think the problem was that I was extracting the Jumpdrive from usb port without first clicking on the icon in systray that says"its now safe to remove hardware".

I now have a replacement and it works fine.

Thanks for your time.
