Topic: Bypass the Recycle Bin On the Fly

To bypass the Recycle Bin on a one-time basis, when you are deleting a file (or a group of selected files):

Press and hold down the shift-key while you press the del-key (or use the delete command). You receive the following confirmation-request message:

Are you sure you want to send <filename> to the Recycle Bin?

[Hiatus]

Are you sure you want to send <filename> to the Recycle Bin?

I'm pretty sure the message is something like:

"Are you sure you want to delete this file?"

If you're bypassing the recycle bin, then the file wouldn't go to it.

No biggie! Slip of the mind probably...



P.S. This is good for deleting virus .exe files manually!

In fact I thought like you, that the question must be as you said. I just didn't like to bother myself by trying it. But as I just copied it as it is and pasted it here, I left it on the responsibility of the one who originally typed it.    


By the way:

There's another way to send unneeded files directly to the delete, without passing through the Bin:

Right clic the Bin > Property > Check the option there which tells you not to pass through the Bin.

But doing so might be risky of course, in case you delete something by mistake, or if you change your minds. I'll be too late.
