Not easily (without opening the case).

You could always go into the BIOS and have a look, most, when set to auto detect, show the clock speed of the memory. However there may be an issue if the processor you are using is running of 333MHz as you then won't gain anything by running the memory at 400MHz and so it would default to 333. You should be able to set it manually to 400MHz and see if it runs.
hey promised the earth! Then delivered mud.
Technically it did meet the spec.

Sorry maybe i was misunderstood. What i mean is how can i tell that the RAM in my pc is actually DDR 400 not DDR333. As i suspect that the RAM that was installed in my pc is only DDR 333 when i had paid for and requested DDR 400.

Below is what shows up in SiSoft Sandra

Memory Module(s)
Memory Module 1 : Nanya M2U51264DS88A1F-6K 512MB 8x(64Mx8) DDR-SDRAM PC2700U-2533-700 (CL2.5 up to 167MHz) (CL2 up to 133MHz)

Is this as i suspect DDR 333 and not DDR400 ? Is anyone able to tell from this or would more info be useful?

Thanks for your help (dont want to make a fool of myself if i am going back to complain Again!)
