hello all
jus a quickie i was jus wondering if i can build a homemade wireless connnectivity thingy...cos my router is quite far away from my pc and i always hav a very low connectivly rate..so is ther anythin i can buy then put together to make the bloody thing work betr...cud it include a baked beans can...?

I doubt that you could build anything better or cheaper than you can buy off the shelf Jon  :)

Is the low rate affecting you in anyway like dropping your connection ?
If its just slow transfer from pc to pc on your wlan then maybe upgrading to 54G may be the solution  :)

yeh iv only got 22 at the mo so i think an upgrade to 54 would be a better option...would tht increase the signal strength?

Not necessarily, but it would increase the transfer rate of your wlan if its slowing down due to a large distance between your wi fi enabled pcs as the rate drops depending on distance from the access point  :)

hi all...

im thinking building one of these Cantennas to improve my wireless signal...however i have come a cropper...

u need some sort of "" n type connector "" but  i dont know which one or which one to buy?!!

however i do know that i need a " Male RP-SMA " to connect the mysterious connector to my card...
