Well, unfortunately, I'm not the techie whom Cammy told you about. In fact, it's my first time I hear of this key. At first I understood nothing of your problem. But by searching on the web I could understand what do you mean.

Well, sorry, I don't have the treatement of your problem, as I'm not a user of "XBox". I'm a user of "PlayStation". But I thought that uninstalling the software of your "Mega-X-Key", and reinstalling it on your PC, might have an effect to get the problem sorted.

Hope it works. If not, there will be probably better suggestion from others.

Good chance...    :)

Oh, and welcome to PC-Pals,  TOFFEEMAN    :)

Hi Jim,

I hadn't a clue either, but having found probably the same site as Joudi found, I can now see what Mega-X-Key is supposed to do, but I still don't fully understand how it's supposed to do it.  In your original post, you mentioned Zip files.  Just a stab in the dark, but have you tried unzipping them before moving them to the interface of the Mega Key software?

From the Mega X Faq over on http://www.megaxkey.com/

How do I use the save games downloaded from this site?
You place the save game which should be a .zip file in the 'saves' subfolder where you installed the Mega X-Key software. Then hit refresh button in the software and it should appear.

How come some games won't let me transfer to the Mega X-Key?
Some games either do not support save games or has security protection on the save games.

What save game are you trying to transfer?
I take it you are using the 2.3 software
hey promised the earth! Then delivered mud.
Technically it did meet the spec.

After all, Jim, we supposed to ask you an important question in the primary place:

Is it your first use to "Mega-X-Key" on this PC, or you've already used it before, and now it's working no more?

You might want to cast you eye over:

or:

You have got the correct save game for the version of splinter cell you are running? What's inside the ZIP? (as the Splinter Cell exploits is a 2 save game one - it isn't just that both saves are in the same zip is it?)

They are probably the best suited to problems with the X-Key (Haven't got an Xbox myself but have been looking into it)
