Direct x 9
« on: December 27, 2004, 15:20 »
Hi all,
I am trying to install sims 2 for my daughter but keep getting told that I have to upgrade from directx9.0b to 9.0c, once it starts to upgrade, it stops and says that the software has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatability with windows xp.
I have run the directx diagnostic test and the following- the file nv4_disp is not digitally signed.

Any help would be great.

Does it not give you the option to install anyway ?
Often drivers and software arent passed by MS but if you say continue after the warning comes up it should install.

Are you trying to run it from the download site or downloading it first and then installing from your pc ?

I don't have much experience in these things, but I found something which I hope to work with you:

Try one of these DX removers, then try reinstalling dx9c

Found something else which may help. It's a site about a lot of DX problems. It's here:

I chose the one which concerns the "Logo" matter for your case:
