Yahoo! Instant Messenger
« on: December 30, 2004, 21:05 »
I've just received this message about Yahoo! Instant Mesenger:

I wanted to show you this . Right click on the group name of your buddy list and click send message to all. Then copy this info and send this to all the people in this group. A new type of buddy list will appear after you send it. The new buddy list will tell you exactly where someone is, who they are talking to, and if they have more than one screen name it tells you what it is.........cool huh!!!!! it even tells you who all r in the invisible

Frankly, it puts me off using Instant Messenger.

Even less reason to worry is that nobody here seems to use Yahoo Messenger.  They are all on Microshaft's medieval offering.

On a brighter note, I believe MSN 7 is due to be released shortly and has features that users of other messengers have enjoyed for years.

Fingers crossed.  ;)

Don't worry, Gill, it's a hoax.   :)

Yes, Yahoo has always been miles ahead of MSN and it's always been my choice.  For the Luddites, the "new" features of MSN7 can be found here:
