Have you used Armor2net Personal Firewall?
« on: January 13, 2005, 01:45 »
Hi, all! One of my friends recommended Armor2net Personal Firewall to me because I want to buy a new firewall. He said it was a good firewall.
Excellent Internet Security protection. Zaps the pop-ups; remove the spyware components safely; easy to use. Does anyone have used it? Its URL: http://www.armor2net.com.
Give me some suggestions please! Many thanks!

Hi iwj320 and :welcome:
I havent heard of it before but if your friends happy with it then its worth a try as its not an expensive one.
One advantage of using lesser known firewalls is that the hackers wont concentrate on breaking through them as much as they would with the more popular ones  :)

Of course, there are many FREE alternatives available, such as Sygate, Zone Alarm, Agnitum Outpost, but thay may not be quite so feature rich as a paid for firewall.  Check out our Personal Firewall Software link at the bottom of the page.  It might not have been updated for a while, but all the apps listed are still available as far as I know.
Many thanks to all our members, who have made PC Pals such an outstanding success!   :thumb:

Hi iwj320.  :welcome:

Excellent internet security protection

My Zone Alarm version 2 (circa 1999) provides that.

Zaps the pop-ups.

Any decent FREE web browser (try Mozilla or Opera) will do that.

remove the spyware components safely;

AdAware free edition or Spybot Search & Destroy will do that.

More importantly, they will not dig themselves deep into your system and take control of your computer.  Nor will they cost you a penny.
