Print Spooler Service
« on: February 16, 2005, 11:13 »
I'm trying to install a HP Deskjet 815C on my computer (Win XP, SP2) but Windows will not install it automatically.  When I try to install it manually, I get the error message, "The print spooler service is not running".

Does anyone know how I can overcome this?

Try this Gill:

CONTROL PANEL.. ADMINSTRATIVE TOOLS... SERVICES...

scroll down to the print spooler service and start it up again.. make sure the startup type is set to automatic..
