New Irfanview
« on: January 24, 2003, 21:39 »
If you don't want to play with IrfanView, you probably haven't got a PC.  For those who have, version 3.80 is now available and should be played with immediately.  Don't forget to also download the seperate Plugins package, to expand its capabilities.  Oh yes, I almost forgot the most important bit.  IrfanView is FREE!  :)

I've had infanview for ages Rodders. Must check to see what version I have. It says 3.36, I guess it's old. Do you suggest I uninstall it before downloading the newer version? :)

Yes Lona, I would recommend an uninstall every time before installing a newer version of software.  Call me cautious, but I also do a 'warm boot' after the uninstall.  This helps to keep the Windows Registry fairly tidy.

(A 'warm boot' by the way, is just re-starting your box, whereas a 'cold boot' involves switching off for a short while.)

Thanks Lona, I'm touched.  (But I suspect you knew that already).   ;D
