Hi Keith and  :welcome: to pc-pals.

I managed to access your website no problems.

Have you got norton installed on your pc?

If so I would suggest you allow access

Also in firewall settings you should allow access to website addy.

Hope this helps.

Keith's been there, done that and got the t-shirt, Lona.

I'm afraid I haven't any more suggestions.  It's very strange that you can get the site sometimes, and not others, Keith.  :dunno:

Is it at all possible then that windows firewall has been activated is some way.?

Could have happened after a windows update.

Make sure windows firewall is disabled, Keith and allow with reuter's firewall settings.

Is it possible Keith, that it's the site that keeps going down.  Have you tried at this moment to access it.?

It's very weird that it should single out one site, but it's got to be a Firewall / Browser security issue.  Maybe the site has some sort of script running in the background, which your set up thinks might be a threat?  Seems funny that everyone else can access it OK though.  Have you tried contacting the Webmaster of the site?  Oh, and have you tried a different browser, such as Firefox?  I can access the site fine with Mozilla, of which Firefox is the stand alone browser component.  Well, almost.

i try accessing the site on a very regular basis to no avail lona  (i'm quite sure it's not the site having problems as i speak to friends who access it while i'm on the phone to them) i've just disabled windows firewall and tried it again, no good.
simon i've tried using different browser's infact i've tried so many things that you guy's have kindly suggested all to no avail i'm afraid.

That's extremely weird, Keith.

The only other advice I can offer is "Join another site" lol.

Do you definately have to reboot the pc after you plug the router back in Keith to be able to access that site ?
If so it sounds like its something in your cookie management settings  :?

er yes i think so sandra although i will try it again when i need to without the reboot, but i'm pretty sure that earlier today when i did it all the required lights on the router only came on after/during the reboot
(hope this makes sense)

It would be good to confirm whether it needs the pc rebooting or not as that way we should know whether we are looking at someting in the router or something on the pc  :?
