messenger service problem

just reformated pc and think i've been hijacked?
keep getting messenger service keep popping up every 5 or 10 mins
with different messages about pc needing attention
sites are www.registryalert.com and fixregerror.com
any ideas please :?

It looks like somethings got in but hopefully its nothing thats too nasty, its just something pushing their programs for you to buy by the looks of it.

Have you installed and run adaware and similar programs to detect and delete whatevers sending the messages  :?:

If you go to www.grc.com there are some downloadable tools there to disable the messenger service.
