Service Errors
« on: December 19, 2005, 11:09 »
Hey, I dont mean to be a pain in the arse but I have a new problem. :?

When I open Disk Management in Administrative Tools, I get the following error "Logical Disk Manager - No such Interface Supported".

I checked all the other tools and they seem to be working fine. Except when I try to view "Dependencies" in services, which comes back with "service Dependencies - : No such Interface Supported".

The LDM , LDM Admin, DCOM and WMI Services starts fine, I have tried setting them to automatic, I have run sfc /scannow, and I have googled the problem without resolve.

I am thinking it might be another registry error, however I have run dmdskmgr.dll with regsvr32, and still the problem persists.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Try downloading and running CCLEANER from www.filehippo.com  (its a freebie  :)   )

After the normal scan, select the Issues icon on the left and run that and then select Fix Issues and see if that helps.

I've already got ccleaner, and run it including issues. I have also got registry mechanic 5.0 (full) and run that. Both show no results.

Seen that before and fixed it somehow... just dont remember how LOL :) ;) Hope ya figure it out. Perhaps post some useful manage logs? And process info. CCleaner usually never fixes actual errors just cleans up useless keys and temp files. Its more of a "Done fixin the puter time to clean up the temp and other stuff then call the client" kinda program

Only one possible nasty on that list.

O17- HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{710CDFD7-2D2F-4966-BAA9-8C6B298D45A 4}: NameServer = 205.188.146.145

Advice:

"If this Domain does not belong to your ISP, or your firms network, these entries should be fixed. 'SearchList' entries should be fixed too.
Currently there is no visitor's assessment! Do you know the IP or Domain '205.188.146.145'? If not, fix this entry."
