Can you see your own animated avatar on here, Jim?  Which Firewall do you use?  I'm wondering if it might be blocking banner ads, which are frequently animated gifs or flash.  Not sure about converting swish to gif, but will look into it later if no one else has.

Not sure about converting a swf directly to an animated gif but if it was someone elses swf file you wanted to convert youre main problem would be saving it to your own pc so that you could work on it.

You would need a program such as SWF Decompiler to capture the swf file, then you could dis assemble it and use the componemts parts in something like PSPs animation wizard to recreate it as an animated gif.

It may well be blocking banner ads, Jim.  I tried that one out myself, and found it stopped Mail Washer working properly, so binned it.  There's a setting somewhere for ad blocking, I think, but obviously if you allow ads, you'll allow them all.

If it's not ZA, then it could be a browser setting - which browser are you using?

You could try going to Tools > Options > Content and make sure the box is ticked to Load Images.  Also, clear your cache and cookies, as that sometimes helps.  Other than that, I can only guess that it's something to do with ZA.  Perhaps you could try disabling it and see if there's any difference using the Windows Firewall?  I wouldn't recommend the Windows Firewall as a permanent substitution for ZA, so if it does turn out to be ZA causing the problem, I would try their forums for some further advice.  Having had a quick look myself, this thread may be relevant, especially the final post.
