Networking or as I like to put it Notworking
« on: May 02, 2006, 10:50 »
I bought a new computer last week, same as Michael's.
A Medion 8383XL and we share the Internet through a D-Link 302G Modem. One USB Port which I have and one Ethernet Port which Michael uses.
Now for the last couple of days we have been trying to Network the two computers. We used Network Wizard, (twice) and the end result was I could see Michael's but he couldn't see me.
And after endless hours of this, (and Sandra's time) I rang D-Link today only to be told that we can't do it without a Router.
Which we now have, Belkin Wireless G Router. Model No. F5D7230-4
It has 4 Ports.
We have been doing this on the Medion Forum, but I thought I pick Mac's brain with this, all anyone else who would like to join in.

It should be a piece of cake now, how weird that they didnt have the ability for file sharing built in on the D-link  :?

Not been up long, as usual Misty, but check your firewalls.
