Looking at some of the posts in a link from the madhouse site you posted earlier it appears that a lot of people are having problems installing this pci modem  :(

Have you tried moving it to a different pci slot as this guy did ?

Allm my problems(kept failing to install PCI bridge drivers) with this modem appeared to be down to the PCI slot it was in. Moved it to a different slot and all problems seem to have vanished.

I had a problem recently with a TV tuner pci card that wouldnt install in one slot but worked fine in another.

Hi Sandra
My modem is working quite happly in it's present slot. My problem is that the new drivers , for XP upgrade, do not install the accessrunner dsl part.
This is your log in bit, user name/password. The actual driver is installed and the other part call accessrunner control panel works ok.
The old driver for ME works ok, all parts install.
Thanks.

I did notice on that site that in the specs it lists 98/ME/2K and NT but not XP yet the site has drivers for XP  :?

Maybe, if this is the same pc as mentioned in another thread, then you may have more success doing a clean install of XP and then trying installing the modem.

Have you enough hard drives or enough space on your boot drive to partition it and dual boot with a clean install of XP so that you can continue to use ME if you have a problem getting XP to work properly ?
