Those who can make you believe absurdities,
can make you commit atrocities.

I seem to spend half my life having to protect our 2 PC's from malware.  Mrs Clive simply uses her Mac and it's connected to the internet all the time.  Her first Mac laptop lasted over 5 years without a single problem and was only replaced because the university she works for supplied her with a new model.

Of course, there are other operating systems that we can run on a PC which are a lot more secure than Windows.

Back from my first camping trip of the summer, I still have another six weeks before I return to work.  I have formatted my spare PC and as soon as the weather changes (the annual August Monsoon Season) I will be trying a couple of Linux packages out.  Hopefully, I will find one I feel comfortable with and then convert my main computer, the one I go online with, over to non-Microshaft.  I will keep my spare for running Windows and Office 2003 as we use them at work, but will not be going online with it.

Just think, no more Windows Updates.   :D
