Telewest works!!! .........shhhhhhhhhhh its all up and running isn't BB fast!! .........I didn't bother getting the router as the crossover works just fine and dandy. So far  I thought I'd just try it first and after a bit of fiddling it seems fine.

I couldn't get the telewest install disc to install but I don't need it, so I've no idea what thats for. 

Anyway thanks again for all your help and advise. Hope everyone is well

Glad to hear you're all sorted, Michelle.  Just one thing, don't forget to update your Pals profile with your new email address.

the telewest support disc has a bunch of tools and some drivers on... they used to provide drivers for the modem etc... quite useless with most of their kits... I hope you are running a nice firewall without that router...I expect you are but thought I should mention it.
