I remember when there were just two channels - 3 and 11, and you had to tune them in like a manual radio tuner.  One was BBC1, and the other was either BBC2 or ITV, can't be sure now.  I also remember our first 'colour' TV, which was actually a black and white TV, with a three coloured filter hanging over the screen.  The top was blue, then orange then green, and the only program it worked for, was horse racing!
