Funnily enough, I was looking into this the other day, and it doesn't seem as though you can.  I'm not exactly sure what you want to do, Bob, but I wanted to grab a favicon as a desktop shortcut to a website.  The best advice I could find was to use IE just for that purpose, as it's not possible with Firefox or Mozilla.

I'd first try displaying just the file itself, by loading 'favicon.ico' from the site's root directory.  In other words, type the path to the site's root dir and append /favicon.ico.  Nine times out of ten you'll pull it up that way.

How come Pals doesn't have one now?  Would you like one?   ;)

There's a how-to-do-it here.

It's the ickle widdle piccy that appears in the address bar of your browser, next to the URL, when you visit certain websites.  You should see a little fish when you visit this one for example.  Also, when you add the site to your favourites you also add the favicon as well.

Thanks for that Rodders.  Never knew they were called fabicons.

See i would normally just go straight for the .ico file on the websites server, but in this case the sites dead and all thats left is the itty bitty one on firefox. If firefox stores them somewhere locally there should be a way to dig them out.
