The Departed

The Departed is about the blurred lines that distinguish good guy from bad guy, and cop from robber, in present-day Boston. With a packed cast (which I need not mention) that includes great supporting roles by Martin Sheen and Alec Baldwin, the acting in the departed is great. Jack Nicholson  delivers one of his best performances in years as the  mob boss Frank Costello.The Departed is a fast moving, intense action thriller with great usage of smart humor, fantastic acting (as stated above), good character development, and the brutal Scorsese violence his fans love.It's good to see Scorsese come back and make a decent movie after that dreadful "Gangs of new york". I'm not a fan of "Leonardo DiCaprio" but he is very good in this movie. 9/10

I have this on DVD, but have yet to watch it.  I have heard it said, this is the best thing Scorsese has done since Goodfellas, and the cast alone makes this essential viewing.  I hope to see it over the Easter period, along with that other great celebration of Easter, The Passion Of The Christ.   :devil:

Yeah, Leonardo DiCaprio seems to have "bulked up" for his role in the movie,
he is not the little punce he used to be. :)

I absolutely loved this film  :thumb:  Yes Lonardo bulked up for it he was gorgeous   :tongue:      I cant stand skinny men  :nerd:

I didn't think it was as good as Goodfellows.  If Jack Nicholson hadn't been in it I think it would have flopped.

I much preferred Leonardo in Blood Diamond.
