Users force Dell to resurrect XP

Responding to customer demand Dell has restarted selling new PCs with Windows XP installed on them.

good for dell. they should offer full linux installations or OS free ones aswell.

I agree, Sam.  The only problem is they wouldn't be able to load the machine with junkware from AOL, Tiscali, Orange, Corel etc.

yes indeed.... though the Vista machine I got my parents a few months ago off Dell had none of this, obviously the junkware people were not ready for Vista yet!

People don't like to learn something new, ESPECIALLY when what they have works just fine. "If it ain't broke don't fix it." That's probably the main reason people want to stick with xp.

I agree as well Sam, you should be offered a choice of OS and software packages. If you can buy new computers without any OS, or pay extra for one to be installed it should be the purchasers choice of which system they prefer. A little flexibility would be good for business one would think.
