I'd like put my Vista computer on sleep. When I come back I click the mouse and it fires up and it always comes to a welcome screen where I have the the option to click on my User icon or "switch user".
The thing is I'm the only user on the system, I have no password, and I have no desire to see this default screen at all. When I turn on the computer from ShutDown my desktop appears, and I would like the same ability when waking from sleep. Any idea how to get rid of the screen an go directly to desktop?
Sometimes I just want to walk by the desk, click the mouse, and see if any email came in. But it always means I have to wait a few seconds, then guide the mouse to the icon, then click to see the desktop. When I'm running around in the morning, or in the middle of something, what can I say, it's a pain. Actually it's a pain to just have to do it every time I use the computer.
Also, I want sleep as opposed to standby because I want to power down the computer and not hear the fan blowing.
