A Love Story and Medical Advice

A Love Story and Medical Advice

I don't have the credentials to give medical advice but I'm going to pass on some good information wrapped up in a story of Love.

A Love Story

I will seek and find you . . . . . .

I shall take you to bed and have my way with you .

I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan.

I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop.

I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you.

And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.

All my love,

The Flu

Now, get your mind out of the gutter and go get your flu shot!   ;D

It's strange, but dental needles never both me - I think it's the ability to see the things that gets to me.  :ack:

Dental needles are the worst, I had several yesterday when I had a wisdom tooth removed and a filling done. I also was given gas, not sure if it worked or not, I've only ever had it once before when I was in labour and it made absolutely no difference what so ever.

I had a needle inserted into my coccyx last week   :nerves:  It could have been a lot worse but a friend convinced me to relax and deep breathe whenever having an injection and it works to a large extent  :thumb:

Usually, for a wisdom, MB, they would use a number of 'gum numb' injections, followed by an ID (inferior dental) or nerve block. That's the one given with a long needle to the inside (tongue side) of the gum. If a dentist hits the nerve right, it feels like they've just put the needle through your tongue.  :o

Gas is very rarely used in the UK now, though it was commonplace when I was a kid. Only specialist clinics tend to perform dentistry under general anaesthetic, most use sedation when needed.

Hope you're not too sore today. :)

I did have two wisdom teeth out over twenty years ago and was injected with valium and some other drug which knocked me out for the procedure, which was nice.

It's a little tender, but I would love to have a bowl of muesli as yogurt and soup is getting boring.  :(

It's the hot salt water mouth washes that get to me, MB. After a while, it feels like I've been eating nothing but salt beef. :(

I know that's what I'm suppose to be doing, three times a day  :ack:, but I never did that with any other extractions, plus I smoked and drank shortly after each of them. Probably why I have had to have them removed in the first place.

Well I don't smoke or drink anymore that has to be enough.  ;D
