I was always led to believe that "dag" was a piece of excrement hanging from the back end of a sheep, not a funny person, nerd, goof as the listing claims?     We need answers!

Of course you would know all about what hangs off the rear end of a sheep Clive, and yes you are correct as it does have it's origins from the mother country. Yet another wonderful thing the British have given us, DAGS.

I think we share many "slang" terms. Growing up I would say dipstick in place of a much ruder term, d*ckhead, and effwit in place of the full version.

What a comprehensive link on Dags.  Didn't realise so much could be written about them!    My favourite quote must be:
