I was always led to believe that "dag" was a piece of excrement hanging from the back end of a sheep, not a funny person, nerd, goof as the listing claims?   :dunno:  We need answers!

Of course you would know all about what hangs off the rear end of a sheep Clive, and yes you are correct as it does have it's origins from the mother country. Yet another wonderful thing the British have given us, DAGS.

Glad to see that a dipstick is still a dipstick down under   :)x

I think we share many "slang" terms. Growing up I would say dipstick in place of a much ruder term, d*ckhead, and effwit in place of the full version.

What a comprehensive link on Dags.  Didn't realise so much could be written about them!  ;D  My favourite quote must be:
