I was starting to think along the lines of 'is OE not compatable with a spell checker in Open Office' .  Im giving Open Office a go this year  after what people say about it its at least worth a try


dont start with the karma stuff though  its really annoying 

people award it for daft things and it gets out of hand

I have Open Office on my laptop, and although I can't say I've actually used it much, it seems perfectly compatible with M$ Office.

yeah Ive had Open Office for a few months now but ,same as you Simon, I havent used it much. Must give it a go. Do you use any of the other progs that come with it Simon.

We tried Karma a few years ago but some of us ended up with such big negative scores that we had to buy wide screen monitors.

i really like open office, but make sure you have one of the version 2.x ones, the version 1 is ok but a bit featureless

Yes, it we ever used it again, we would have to remove the 'smite' option!
