My son has a Sky + box that won't record a "series".    It's a new installation and he's connected to a communal Sky dish in an apartment block.  Apparently he needs two "inputs".  What does that mean and would THIS solve his problem?

No that wont do it Clive.
That allows you to connect a second TV to the sky box.

He needs another lead from the communal dish or a seperate dish of his own if he is allowed to put one up.
