Evening peoples I'm after a good decent mp3 bitrate converter, I've no idea what's decent so I'm looking for some advice! Preferably a freeware one to

Hi Welshy,

What exactly are you trying to do?  Do you mean converting MP3s to other file formats, or do you actually want to reduce the size of MP3s?  You could have a look at this - not tried it myself though.

Hii, i mean keeping the same format, and ye simplely lowers the file size. running out of room on my ipod see

Give that a try, I think it should probably do it.  All you would need to do is load the MP3, then save it again at a lower bitrate, but be aware, the lower the bitrate, the lower the sound quality.  If you have anything precious, I would suggest taking a backup first, at the original bitrate.

Its a file converter but has the function to do what you need, nice and easy to use too
