Blue Mountains, NSW. And our exchange is just up the road, about 3 blocks.

Pretty poor that close to the exchange and you cant get ADSL 2, i hope the your weather will be warmer in October.
I will be going to Sydney for a holiday :)

Sydney is a lot warmer than up here, didn't get above 5 the other day, bloody freezing. I've been up in Coffs for over 3 weeks, got up to 23, and they call that winter, glad I took shorts. Felt silly packing them though.

Oh, I should add that ADSL 2 isn't available in the mountains yet, I think Penrith have it though. (base of the mountains)

Don't worry I'm sure you will have ADSL 2 in another 10 years ;D, telecommunications is pretty slow  in OZ.
