Doesn't really matter what browser a person is using. The user's ip address is still going to be logged somewhere. Private browsing is just a gimmick. All it means as far as microsoft is concerned is that your cache gets cleared when you close your browser down. This just generates buzz for IE for once. Gets people thinking that M$ is starting to focus on privacy when they're really doing everything but.
The only real way I know of to surf anonymously is to use a proxy. The deal with pedophiles is they get caught when they unknowingly share their material with online investigators, or bring their computer into a shop to get it worked on. Either way, run enough red lights and you'll eventually get caught.
