Researchers in the US say that they have solved the mystery of why flies are so hard to swat.
They think the fly's ability to dodge being hit is due to its fast acting brain and an ability to plan ahead.

Well.....I thought that they were hard to swat because of the air pressure between the newspaper and the fly's body and it could feel that so it flies off. I feel sure this could be the reason because if one uses a fly swat which has perforations/slots in it (which I do), the air pressure is dispersed and more often than not the itty bitty fly meets its' maker.....
