Anyboby else getting this alert
« on: October 11, 2008, 14:38 »
I'm getting it on any site that uses secure certification, such as banks, Ebay sign in and the like. I use the fire Fox browser as a rule.

But if I try and access those logins pages using the MS IE browser I get the second Screen grab message, after clicking the "view certificate" button. Consequently I dare not risk logging in to those sites, any feed back on your personal experience's in this matter [positive or negative] would be appreciated.

It only started happening today, and it is still happening even though I have restored a saved image of C: drive that I made on 14/09/08. So I cannot see it being a problem with my PC being infected, or could I be wrong in that regard ?

yes Simon I'm aware of the options offered in that support link.  That it is happening on all secure login pages I access is not helping me neither. I mean all sights cannot have a dicky certificate, I mean like the would in anycase is highly unlikely in the first instance. So I'm thinking is my PC infected ?

So that's you and Mich that have taken the time to check it out for me, thanks much appreciated. So even without a wider sample test it looks like I'm the only one so far having this trouble.

Come on you  Guests that are lurking and Members that are logged in and not responding, do the decent thing and test your logins. The point of this site is in it's title  I would have thought  :o:

I'm OK here, Tony. Have you checked that the time/date is OK on your system?

I notice you use 18185.

Have you looked at the Heinz method?

I use it with a Orchid Dialler V4 which automatically routes your calls through the best provider at that time of the day/week.

Following the Heinz set up (which Orchid will pre program for you) has saved me a load but then BT will offer you good deals to go back with them but can't offer anything on the "call Divert" costs that i use a lot so i'm happy with the Heinz system.

You may already be using it but just in case you ain't.  :dunno:
