I just had my computer tuned up..so to say. It runs so much better now, but...my problem now is the clock in the lower right corner of taskbar is in gov time not normal   american time as I call it,  also it used to show what day it was. I did the right click and the window opens, went to internet time, opened the menu all that is there is gov time. How do I change it back to the way it was?    Thanks!

you should also be able to select the time zone and daylight saving options - maybe its one of those.

Right click the clock and choose Adjust Date / Time, Sharon, and you should see the options in there to select time zones, etc.

Well after doing everything that everyone suggested, which did not work. After doing alot of searching in websites I finally located the right place to change from military to civilian time. You have to go to control panel, click on Regional/ language options, regional options window comes  up, click on customize, click on time, in format box it should have h:mm:ss tt , click ok...  It was amazing how many people I talked to that were computer geeks ( so they say ) didn't know about this..

thanks for letting us know.  Here in England, all we have to worry about is changing from GM T to BST and vice versa, twice a year, and Windows does that for us!
