Yo Axle, how you doing, welcome to the loony bin

Jeez your first post was seven days ago, and I've just spotted it

I use Acronis True Image 10, used mainly to do clean backups. I have never used the Acronis secure zone, I just nominate a partition I want to use as the backup partition. I used to use Power Quest Drive Image V 2, on my W2K Pro , but it started giving me error messages and failing to complete "images" So I actually bought Acronis, hell I hope buying software isn't habit forming
I used to also use Partition Magic, but have gone over to using Acronis Disk Director, because of some mounting partition issues of late with PM. Now both those Acronis programmes [plus many many more] are on Hirems Boot Disk V 9.3. And I believe it's a free utility, least ways a lovely Lancashire Lass gave it to me. She first introduced me to Hirems V4.2 , yes we go that far back.
PM me, and you can drop by my place next time your in Skipton, and I'll burn you a copy if you want. Only difference I can see is that instead of being able to access those programs from within windows with the bought software, you access them via the boot disk. Obviously if you had a booting up issues you would have to use the rescue disk you are instructed to make on purchasing Acronis True Image. To enable you to restore a saved Image of C:Drive. So using it via a Hirems Boot Disk, to do make a Backup image is not as I see it a problem.
Have you paid for your download, or are you just evaluating it for free, do they do that option, I forget....it's my age you know .
