I wonder how many people really appreciate the significance of Gutenberg?

Well, don't leave us in suspense - who did, then?

No-one really, it was just a variation on a grape or oil press. What Gutenberg invented was movable type, and it was that which revolutionised printing and lead, eventually, to the concept of DTP.

[Simon]

My cousin was in the print trade back in the 60s / 70s, and even perhaps, early 80s.  He retired to become an antique clock dealer / repairer, and to move to Devon.
