A good read, but most of it was over my head.

I think the Pioneer anomaly is one of the most interesting items of modern physics that really has not had enough attention.

Interesting discussion at the end about homeopathy and the placebo effect.

I think a lot of homoeopathy is more of a placebo effect, but if it makes people feel better, and doesn't mask a more serious condition, then why not?

Very interesting questions arise from these examples
The biggest is have we been wrong about rules in physics theory?

Maybe we need new rules

some of the cases are such extreme examples of physics that we have never encountered until now. I believe our general understanding of physics is mostly correct but we are just not understanding some higher order terms. I find dark matter hard to completely swallow, but argue that it makes more sense than modified Newtonian dynamics (with most forms still requiring this gravitationally interacting only matter anyway!). On that specific case the answer will probably come from particle physics... all of physics has a lot to learn from other areas - we just need to widen our horizons.

That's the idea Sam
I think there are new rules that will be created as we gain knowledge
We may find that the laws of physics are more complicated and adjustable than we presently believe

As in Sci-Fi stories of the past which became fact maybe we just don't have the knowledge to understand all the rules yet

I know a few people who use Homeopathic remedies, for themselves and their pets. There were a couple of people at my cousins funeral who were using rescue remedy, I chose another natural remedy.....

Ah, now, if it works for pets, there's no fooling them is there, so there must be something in it.

I think, Homeopathy, along with other natural remedies, such as Chinese Medicine, Naturopaths, Chiropractors, all have a place.
