Is this a new annoyance or have you never been able to attach files?  If it's just happened then  I would try a simple re-boot.  That worked for me!   8-)

BT may be having problems GK.  There was a serious outage earlier this afternoon.

We know BT are doing some work on the networks this weekend, so anything could happen, but can't really see how it could affect emails.  :dunno:

Nice to see you, Graham, how you doing?

Yes it can affect e-mails Simon.  If it worked and then didn't work then it's probably safe to blame your ISP.  :)

If its only started doing it today then its probably the ISP as Simon and Clive has said, maybe theyre blocking some commonly used ports for email protocols as even with their email servers being down it shouldnt affect web based emails.

Web based emails may have restrictions on the size or type of attachments allowed, which can be stricter than ISP ones.

BT have announced a series of WBC "Capacity Upgrades" that are due to be
rolled-out over the course of the weekend, to be completed by 6pm on Monday.

They say that they have recently "uncovered" an issue with the capacity management process
which has caused parts of the network to be "under-dimensioned" [that's a new one!]

These upgrades "should cause no disruption to service".

Do you get any kind of warning when you send
or does it just not atach the pics

If the attachment is to big you should get a warning
if it just doesnt attach it its a setting in your web mail has changed probably because of BT working on  it
