what to torture Clive?

oh the telescope - yeah they are pretty cool for $20 - can easily see the moons of Jupiter - as good as the £400 ones that you will find in argos.

I notice it says "telescope kit".  Does that mean you have to grind the lens yourself?   ;D

I know people who have them - all you have to do is put the lenses in the tube and push the bits together, its all pretty well thought through  - but you do get what you are willing to spend with these things. They'd be great for any budding youngster who's parents don't wanna waste a huge amount of cash on a scope - plus it doesn't have one of those stupid mounts - actually it might not come with one but I think it'll attach to a normal camera tripod.

Cool.  I've just bought something similar for my great nephew who is going on 5.  It should be OK for viewing the Moon and his neighbour's bedroom window.   ;D
